A K-2 Charter School Opening with 300 students expanding to 900 students in a K-8 school. The mission of the school is to
inspire students to become productive 21st century literate citizens. We believe that in order to become a productive 21st
century citizen, every student will develop and demonstrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills by participating
in high quality, explicit literacy instruction across all content areas.

The state of North Carolina’s first all male charter school will be a K-2 school opening with 300 students, expanding to 900
students as a K-8 school. The mission of the school is to institute a school for young men with a learning environment that
produces lasting gains in academics and character ultimately generating life-long learners. We are committed to operating a
school with an engaging learning environment and informed practices that are effective for young men, directed by teachers,
and supported by home and community. We are also committed to providing young men personalized academic
character support utilizing high quality literacy focused, inquiry based instruction that results in excellence.

Lastly, we are committed to our young men attaining grade level or higher performance proficiency in all year-end assessments.
